“There is probably more suffering in a glass of milk than a pound of steak … to say that is it morally acceptable to eat dairy but not meat (or vice versa) is like saying it is OK to eat large pigs but not small pigs“,
“Animal welfare theory maintains it is morally acceptable to use nonhuman animals for human purposes as long as we treat them “humanely” and do not impose “unnecessary” suffering on them. The goal of animal welfare is the regulation of animal use.
Animal rights theory maintains that we have no moral justification for using nonhuman animals for human purposes however “humanely” we treat them. The goal of animal rights is the abolition of animal use.

I fail to see any connection between becoming a vegan and testing on animals?
I dont in any way condone the testing on animals and think its sick and the dudes that do it must be either serial killers or one chromosome off from becoming one.
Aren’t the testing of animals and eating of animals two different subjects? Sure, I am eating less and less meat these days but what if the animals that I eat are proven to have been raised “humanely”, not caged and penned, and stuff?
